Flagpole Parts and Hardware

Accessories

FPFSPA05

Flagpoles are long-term installations and the hardware wears before the pole does. A halyard that gets changed before it fails is a five-minute job. One that fails while the flag is up is a much larger problem. The same applies to the cam cleat, the snap hooks, the rotating truck, and the retaining ring — all of it is replaceable, all of it is in stock.

Parts for the commercial fiberglass lineup include: nylon flag clips (FPFSPA05), rotating truck for fiberglass poles (FPFSPA08), round base covers in two size ranges (FPFSPA10 for 20-30-foot, FPFSPA12 for 35-40-foot), tilt base accessory kit with complete hinge hardware (FPFSPA14), internal halyard cam cleat cover with key (FPFSPA15), and chain link retaining ring with counterweight (FPFSPA16).

Square base covers are also available for specific pole sizes (FPFSPA11 for 25-foot, FPFSPA13 for 40-foot). If you need a part that is not listed, or need to confirm compatibility with a specific pole model, include the pole SKU in your quote request and we will confirm the right part.

Ideal for:

Owners of commercial fiberglass or aluminum poles needing scheduled maintenance parts, emergency replacements, or upgrades to existing hardware.

The minimum depth assumes compacted soil. The Building Code typically requires footings below the frost line — generally a minimum of 4 feet (48") below finished grade. Consult your local municipality if in doubt. The anchor cage shipped with the pole is designed for a 4'–6' minimum depth.

Installation Overview

Engineering drawings and full installation instructions ship with the pole. This is a summary for planning purposes.

01

Dig and Pour

Auger or excavate a 26" diameter hole to 44" minimum depth. Bed in gravel, set anchor cage, pour 3,000 PSI concrete. Allow 7 days full cure (or 1 day with quick-set).

03

Walk the pole up

Assemble pole horizontal. Attach hinge pin to base. Two or three people walk the pole up to vertical from the hinge side. Secure the two non-hinge bolts.

02

Level the base

Once cured, thread leveling nuts onto anchor bolts. Place the hinge base plate over the cage, shim level in both directions, and secure with washers and large nuts.

04

Rig and Install

Verify halyard through cam cleat, attach counterweight and snaps, thread the ball finial, install flash collar. Apply silicone bead at collar top. Raise your flag.
