Flagpole Finial — Gold Ball
Accessories
FPFSPA01
The finial is the ball at the top of the pole, and the size needs to match the pole height — a 4-inch ball looks right on a 20 or 25-foot fiberglass pole, a 5-inch on a 30 or 35-foot, and a 6-inch on a 40-foot. Getting this wrong does not affect performance, but it looks visually out of proportion.

All three sizes are gold anodized aluminum — the same finish as the standard finials that ship with the poles. These are direct replacements if the original is lost, damaged, or if you are upgrading a pole that shipped with a smaller finial. SKUs: FPFSPA01 (4-inch), FPFSPA02 (5-inch), FPFSPA03 (6-inch).
Finials for the commercial aluminum poles are also available — the aluminum lineup uses the same gold anodized finish. Please specify your pole model when ordering to confirm the correct thread size and fit.
Ideal for:
Replacing a damaged or missing finial on a commercial fiberglass or aluminum pole, and upgrading finial size on existing poles.

The minimum depth assumes compacted soil. The Building Code typically requires footings below the frost line — generally a minimum of 4 feet (48") below finished grade. Consult your local municipality if in doubt. The anchor cage shipped with the pole is designed for a 4'–6' minimum depth.
Installation Overview
Engineering drawings and full installation instructions ship with the pole. This is a summary for planning purposes.

01
Dig and Pour
Auger or excavate a 26" diameter hole to 44" minimum depth. Bed in gravel, set anchor cage, pour 3,000 PSI concrete. Allow 7 days full cure (or 1 day with quick-set).
03
Walk the pole up
Assemble pole horizontal. Attach hinge pin to base. Two or three people walk the pole up to vertical from the hinge side. Secure the two non-hinge bolts.
02
Level the base
Once cured, thread leveling nuts onto anchor bolts. Place the hinge base plate over the cage, shim level in both directions, and secure with washers and large nuts.
04
Rig and Install
Verify halyard through cam cleat, attach counterweight and snaps, thread the ball finial, install flash collar. Apply silicone bead at collar top. Raise your flag.
